Our Infertility Journey
After a 3 year struggle of trying to conceive, running tests, and undergoing IVF, we welcomed our little lady, Liliana, in July of 2013. Throughout our journey, we were blessed to find 2 amazing doctors, numerous nurses, and meet other wonderful people who also struggle with infertility. In September , 2016, we traveled to Syracuse, NY to undergo IVF for a 2nd time. Our fresh embryo transfer failed. Our May, 2017 Frozen transfer was a success and we welcomed our twins on January 4, 2018! Because of our own infertility, we created a line of jewelry dedicated to representing the struggle that 1 in 8 couples will experience. Melissa designed several pieces and Paul made her ideas a reality. As our collection grew, we began designing and creating pieces to honor more paths. We hope you enjoy each Tender Journey piece.
Who are we?
We are Paul and Melissa Randazzo, owners of Tender Journey. We live in a small town in the Southern part of the Thumb of Michigan. Paul is a creative jeweler, who loves science and craft beers, especially IPAs. Melissa is a social worker turned stay at home mom of 6 year old, Liliana and 1.5 year olds, Violet and Izabel. Melissa loves the outdoors, crafts, and animals of all sorts! Our lives are full of animal fun, with 2 dogs, a bunny, a small flock of chickens, and Liliana’s peacocks. Melissa is working hard to con Paul into raising goats, next.
Liliana, is the main inspiration for Tender Journey. She is an amazing little person. At only 4, she knew what Tender Journey was. She plays a huge role in our designs, packaging, and shipping. She likes to know what each pendant means. When shipping packages, she wants to know who ordered and why they ordered. At 6, she seems to understand infertility more than most adults do. We are proud to be raising such an open minded and understanding little lady.
